Go out to eat, fight HIV/AIDS. It's that simple.
I rarely use this blog for anything other than my random bullshit ramblings, but this is something about which I feel strongly, and it’s an extremely easy way for people to contribute to some great causes. So bear with me.
Next Thursday, April 28, Dining Out For Life will take place in more than 50 cities across the United States and Canada. The concept is simple: eat at any participating restaurant, and a portion of your bill will automatically be donated to a local organization that provides services for people living with HIV and AIDS. Some restaurants are donating as much as 50% of their evening’s profits.
I can think of no easier way to actively help some really great organizations in your area. All you have to do is go out for dinner. The rest is taken care of.
The link above will show a map of cities in which Dining Out For Life is taking place, and lists of all participating restaurants. Check it out, see if it’s happening in your town, and consider taking part.
After all, for you, it’s just an evening out at a local restaurant. But for millions of people living with HIV and AIDS, it’s a big, big help.
